Just to be clear, those arent "my" videos, I just felt they were a good overview of one method of roughing out and shaping necks. I am hoping to provide some tips on another alternative to this method soon.
Good luck on your uke project, I look foward to seeing your progress!
I love spanish cedar. it is has a beautiful fragrance and a joy to carve or machine. I've made
a Les paul neck through using spanish cedar and a spoke shave like in your video.
Now I want to make a flying V tenor uke and that will be another challenge as I have to
cut the fret slots myself using the S-M fret calculator. I found some info online about
tenor ukes and would like to confirm the scale length.
