I'm suprized at the lack of activity in here. I thought this would be one of the busiest groups. So anyway, my latest build is from wood saved from the trash trucks grip. Over 100 yr old black…Continue

I almost got an antique oak wardrobe thing from my flatmate to take to my new flat, until she realised I would strip it down for guitar necks.

I suppose she's right but man, it would make some great guitars.

Got a natural finish pine bunk bed frame today. My mom in law gave me some cookie tins.

Good Job Marvin and excellent inlay work.

Wayfinder - Shifero is a standing piece of furniture for hanging clothes - a exposed closet if you will. Not sure I spelled it right or not. A lot of people buy them from antique stores and convert them to entertainment centers.

I've been busy the last few nights and most of today....

I built a CB amp by using the guts from a small guitar amp. I installed it in the CB and wired it so it will run from batteries, or from an AC adaptor. The handle is a cabinet/drawer pull, the grill a fan guard. I now have the neck, the sound holes, the tuners, and the tailpiece installed on the banjo. I installed some speaker grill from an old radio behind the sound holes. Here are some pictures.

I have made some progress on my CB Banjo....

My neighbor threw out a Shifero made of 1/2" Cedar boards. Whoohoo

Put in my truck, took it to my workshop and dismantled it. I'm thinking about a Thinline Tele and a couple CBG's.
