Hi all,
I'm getting close to being finished with my first CBG. I've found an old cool key, that I'ld like to use as a bridge. But I can't really figure out how to mount it to the body.
I've seen some photos with a solution I like, but I can't figure out what they use. Does anyone have any idea about what these people use:
Thanks in advance!

One thing to keep in mind if you mount the key perpendicular like in the pics how will you get the intonation right? If you look closely at the first pic you'll see that the low string rides higher (making it longer) than the high string. You need to carefully file the depth of the grooves to get it right.
wire rope clips .
That seems to be exactly the ones I'm looking for. Thanks a lot!
cheers ;-)
There ya go, wire rope clips. I misremembered there being a second bracket piece. I've used these things all over the place, but never on wire rope. Very handy. I can't wait to see your CBG with the key in place.
Yeah, I'll post some pictures when it's done.
The problem, however, is always to translate the names into Danish and find a store that sells it. But I think I managed to do both.
Thanks again to both of you!
Those look to me like parts from the little clamp thingies that have a U-shaped bracket, 2 sliding crossbars (one of which you can see here) and 2 nuts. I find them around chain or in miscellaneous hardware at my local ACE store.
Sorry for all the highly technical jargon.
With your description and the picture below, I'll most definitely be able to find it. Thanks a lot!
