Plastic cocktail frets.

OK, my last fretted build used wooden cocktail sticks/toothpicks as and they worked great, but were a little uneven even after sanding,

But I had a thought. Plastic sticks/picks would be more even, being extruded, should be slightly harder once glued, and being coloured, I could use contrasting sticks to mark the blues scale while still leaving a full fretted neck.

Any thoughts on why this might work or not.
I'm almost ready to crack on with my first shortbread tin 4 string fretted build to hopefully have ready for the UK CBG fest.

As long as you have an adhesive that'll glue plastic to wood, I see no problem other than their durability when playing.

Guitar frets are metal for a reason, lol

Oh yeah I know that. I'm talking casual fun playing, not gigging every night. I was going to use contact adhesive which will glue wood to plastic. Should be hardwearing enough to use, certainly harder than varnished soft wood frets.
