Just finished my first pickup, just got to finish something to fit it to now.
Will fix up a test rig to a jack socket, and let you know how it goes.
It's an AS140.

I'm gonna make another when I've tested this one, I can do a build but it's pretty basic stuff hacksaw drill files and polishing wheel in my dril press, using polishing compound.and after. Assembly . Polish before you're suspend the neo magnet in epoxy resin, as I found that heat generated in the polishing tends to melt the epoxy.. I haven't been able to do much as my right hand is now considerably worse. Still waiting for an operation, but today I did manage to solder the connections to my induction pickup, and to a jack socket, and placed the pickup below the strings, and it does work, with nice tone, but not very loud. I used the AS 140 500. 1' so I wondered if anyone has tried the 1000 .1' or other alternatives. I looked at the Alumatone discussion but couldn't find more recent posts.
I can't do a lot on the physical front so could do with keeping my little grey cells occupied.
