Agree with Rose. As I look at it, if I decided to put holes in it (only after playing it for a bit) I'd probably stay small, maybe two 1" holes plugged with screened grommets in black or a pewter finish (personally not a fan of chrome), one above and one below the strings, both just inside the black area on the neck end of the tin. Very nice job on the first build, play it for a while before cutting the tin, might be great as is.
Thanks MadGomer. I'm thinking of holding off as it has a good sound, but I may change my mind later. I can open the lid a little for bigger sound if needed, but I'll wait and see. There's writing on both front and back I don't want to touch. I may put hole on sides, which are blank. Don't want to rush things though. Thanks for replying!
Wow that's really awesome! I know you are asking about sound holes. There are so many different ways to do that. You can put them on th front, you can put them on the side so you can hear better when your playing. If it is loud enough without them you can leave them off completely. That is a pretty great build, your sound holes need to follow the "look" you are after. If you decide where you want them I'm sure that this forum can give advice as to the best way to cut them. Hope this helps, we just need a bit more info.

Thanks for the feedback. Based on yours and MadGomer's advice, I'm going to hold off. But yes, it needs to fit the build. Thanks for taking the time to reply.
