Iirst Build

Well it took a little while but I finally got my first one done.

I'm not a real handcrafty kinda guy so it didn't turn out quite the way I was hoping for, and I'm hoping to do better on the next one, ( already started) but it was fun, and a learning experience.

  • It looks fantastic! Much better than my first (which is still in progress, I'm afraid), the rearmost in this pic...

Can't wait to hear a sound clip!

  • Each one will have it's own character. Looks good, but you can't stop at just one!
    • I think  you did a very nice job.  Looks great!  One thing I learned is to fine tune the action by tweaking the height of the nut and bridge.  Mine was too high originally.  I read on this site that it should be the thickness of two playing cards at the first fret and 7 or 8 thick at the 12 th fret.  This seems to be good for mine.  Mad Gomer is right.  I've built two and am now working on another for my grand-daughter.
