I've done alot of reading on here but have not seen this answered. When using a paper covered box....can I spray or wipe anything on it to protect the paper from getting scratched up? If so...what do I use?

I have had good luck with spraying lacquer over the boxes (including the paper). I mask the fretboard and spray the box and neck at the same time. I am using a spray gun, but a rattle can should yield the same results. The paper is well protected with this method. I have also made clear plastic "pick guards" that cover and protect the paper label. Good luck.
Tom, coat the box with polyurethane and your troubles are over.
Well I guess I must have just missed the other posts on this subject because there are several I have now discovered. Sounds like a clear spray is what others have used. I think I have both either acrylic spray or lacquer spray. Not sure which one I want to try though.
