First cigar Box

Ive nearly finished my first cigar box...was great fun...even fretting...I used a Pyrograph to decorate and various bits from Habdashery and tips from the web...I have a Ju Ju 3 string pickup on order...this one is 25 inches from nut to bridge..i think a smalled distance next time...Also I have nickel wound strings but using a bottle neck is so SKREEETCHY...how can I get over that..i hate that squeak you hear on live recordings...the pick up a electro magnetic so I suppose gut strings wont work...

    WOW! That's one heckuva first build. You're obviously a very skilled craftsman.
    If you lay your finger lightly across the strings behind your slide it usually damp out the screechy noise.

    good looking first build.If you dont like the screech from the strings try using flatwound strings they are smooth..all the best BB
