So I just finished my first 4 string the other day. I dont know if it is the Humbler pickup or the 4th string but I dont know that I'll go back to 3 strings.
So I've been playing it now for a couple days and everything was fine until the High "D" string started eating its way into my plastic nut. and it has started to fret out on me. So now I am giving bone a try. Deer antler to be specific.
I have one roughed in but was wondering if anyone had any good tips. I know I am going to need to get either a band-saw or a Scroll say. The miter saw is just too awkward and makes way to much dust. Also leaves too much material to belt sand.
Suggestions?
