  • that helps a lot thank you.

    • cheers .  guess i should add that  guitars with no pickup at all ,  most folks use acoustic strings , but electric strings  work fine too.

  • Electric guitars  (or cbgs) with a magnetic  pickup   basically need  "electric" guitar strings . they have a steel core that the magnet can read .  ( you "CAN" use acoustic bronze wound strings etc...  on an electric guitar . but , it will be harder for the mag to read , thus a muddier , weaker  sound  . (but  .. you may like that sound .

guitars with a piezo pickup don't really matter because the piezo reads the vibration of the box/body  ,  but  many  prefer acoustic  strings  on a piezo cbg. some also use electric . even nylon .

as per  what strings?   . # 3 . 4 and 5  from a pack of .09  or .10s are a popular choice , but feel free to use any consecutive  3 or 4  you may  like .

     hope that  helps . ;-)
