So, my church sold ice cream--floats and sundaes, delicious--at a small-town event. Part of the event was a whole mess of houses in town had rummage sales. Always intriguing for CBG people, right? No less this time. I scored a shot glass slide, a BIG metal box (kick drum? bass? we'll see...) a couple of vintage garden tools with beautifully-aged hardwood handles, a couple of tools, and a tool tote FULL of hardware! We're talkin' a poop-load of wood screws, machine screws, nuts and bolts of many sizes, washers and even a few drill bits.
I can use the wood screws in my builds. Nice! And the washers.
Here's the thing: What. The. Actual. Frack. can I do with ALL THOSE NUTS AND BOLTS?!?! Many are pretty big. I can use a few of the bolts for builds, as in bridges and nuts. But WHAT ELSE?
I need suggestions! Please!

Wow even if you did just a small piece of something like that, it would look great as a bridge or maybe an inset headstock. Hey pic thanks made my day!!
not mine .. just google image search "nut and bolt guitar " there a few similar to this .
WOW!! Talk about something for heavy metal rock! Cool Mr Pick.
Yea--WOW!!
cut Out a solid body guitar shape, add a lip and fill it with random hardware... fill it with clear resin...
use larger nuts as volume knobs... screw a dowel in (easy way) or cut and drill a bolt that fits. (Hard way)
cheap fishing weights?
Ballast?
Mix with concrete in a coffee can to make a cheap anchor? :-)
weld/braze together nut and bolt stick figures...
um...
I like all those ideas.
The guitar body would be heavy, but fun.
Volume knobs--I need a couple as we speak!
Fishing sinkers--sure. Why the heck not?
Bolt stick figure--IOW Ob-Jays Dee Arty! Fun.
Thanks!
