Hi All, I'm a quiet one here, gaining knowledge. Today, I found something that caught my eye. I was chosen to be a beta tester for CB Gitty's new bare you build it box. I was wondering how to decorate my new build to be and this may give me exactly what I'm looking for. It's a how to get a printed image onto a bare piece of wood. Printing in reverse on wax paper and then transferring the image to the wood will give a great vintage look. I now can design my own artwork for my build. Whoohoo! Here's the link to the info:

I've been using Avery address label sheets. Peel off the labels and print (inkjet) onto the backing. After printing, the backing paper can be reused by wiping the ink off with a damp cloth. I've experimented with PVA (Elmer's) glue and Mod Podge to no great success, found that printing directly onto the Avery backing sheet and placing very carefully onto a clean piece of wood is the best method. Don't forget to reverse your image before printing :)
Oh Al, That's a great idea. I have boxes of labels that I don't use. Thanks for the heads up on this. The only thing that's stopping me from building is that I can't figure out what I want the box to look like. This is really getting me closer to what I want to do.

I ended up ditching wax paper due to the fact it almost broke my inkjet and did the same approach with freezer paper. Worked awesomely. I posted a picture showing my outcome.
Ah, Been busy at work. Didn't catch this. They did say the freezer paper worked better. I can't wait to try this... on my older printer ;)
