Even larger Cohiba red dot

Hi guy, you help is needed again.I have aquired another red dot cohiba box measuring 12"x7 1/2"x1 3/4" would you guys think this would be  deep enough to make a resso with it.I shall mostly playing it acusticly but fitted with double pezio's encased in wood glued to the sound board close to the resonator and thought instead of using the cover plate cutting a hole where the red dot apears on the box, for the bridge and saddle to come throough,so as not spoil the look of the really nice boxes.Frank apinons please,I don't want to waste my time or cash!

Just one more thing do you use ordanery uke strings or steel strings. Thanks guys Regards Mal (UK)
