Good Evening all,
Built my first CBG Bass guitar as a Birthday Present. I used rock hard maple
for the neck. I have never used a Truss Rod. So far it has held up.
Truss Rod or Not?
There is a video on my page as well. Used a basic pickup no pre-amp.

hi john,
i'm no expert, but i don't think the purpose of a truss rod is to prevent bowing. i believe it's meant to allow you straighten the neck after bowing has occurred.
