Bill Monroe and Doc Watson


this is a stunning collection of the live collaborations between Watson and Monroe. In fact, this was the reason i got into bluegrass back in 1994...i was working in Denver and this hobo hair-lipped cowboy came into the shop, gave the owner a tape and took off. The owner hated it, gave it to me...it changed my life.

just two voices, two instruments, two lives intertwined by music.
