Read more…Ok, so now I'm looking at my broken cheap acoustic. I pulled the piezo rod and bridge, very cheap bridge, just drilled thru holes for the strings, etc.
For 6 bucks I got a tune o matic type wooden (ebony) bridge for an archtop, so the base and saddl
Whilst talking to a gentleman at a music store the topic of cigarbox guitars came up.
He told me his grandfather built a cigarbox ukulele in the early 30`s and he has it still.
He was kind enough to send me pictures.
I've thought about ways to save time and be more accurate when burning lines in a neck or fretboard for a fretless guitar. Here is a short video on YouTube of the way I now do it. Hope you find it useful. David
