Hey guys, just bought a load of parts to create my own strat, I had a loaded scratchplate with all the wiring doneas I don't really have confidence in my soldering skils, well I joined the jack socket well enough and the one through the body has joined to the claw plate but when I plug in and touch any metal part it buzzes like you wouldn't believe, any advice or tips would be immensly appreciated

Swap the two wires at the jack plate, you're touching the hot side of the circuit when you touch a metal part, you ought be touching the ground side. Flipping the phase at output is probably the easiest way to fix it
