Hi there folks.
I`ve got a question about a big box that i got from a friend of mine.
I want to make it a 6 string whit 1 humbucker ellement.
now the question is, how do i put the ellement and more of a problem, the bridge on the box whitout bringing to mutch damage to the bacardi inscription on the lid.
because i want to make it a hard tail bridge, sort of telecaster style.
well i hope someone helps me out on this one.

Cool,cant wait to see it!
Thanks for the great reactions.
I think I'm gonna go for a wraparound bridge.
I'll post some pictures as soon as it's ready

Guitarfetish.com has them at a good cost. just make sure yo add a piece of wood under the lid to support and accept the inserts.
That box looks big enough for a double neck.
It does.
I did a double neck resoplater w/ 3 and 3 on a box I cracked the lid.
Thin pieces of hardwood will do that. Did you add a support piece under the lid before installing the inserts?
It looks like there is plenty of blank space between the edge of the inscription and the edge of the box for a hardtail bridge at one end and a neck pickup at the other without covering/cutting the letters, though you will end up with a classic git neck that stops around fret 12 or 13. Or go for a baritone scale git 27"-29".
with the bridge , you are commuted to the surface , but you can mount a mag humbucker UNDER the lid and it will still work fine right through the wood . (unless it's an inch thick lol) . you can also drill holes to match the poles and extend the pup through the lid by dropping in small screws etc . this will beef up the volume a bit .
but it should work fine right through the wood .
