  • Hi,
Sorry I just noted the circuit diagram - If I am using a cap to affect tone I always use a pot to control it because when it is fully on the tone is very muddy if all the highs are sent to ground. Unless you have done this before and are happy with the sound try the circuit out brefore you solder to check you like the result. If you want to add a tone pot it is easy and an example of such a circuit is here on the seymour duncan website

Substitute your piezo disc for the pick up - black to the back of the volume pot and red to the first lug of the volume pot. ( Apologies if this is telling you what you already know).
    Good luck.
  • Hi,
Yes you have it right - for a more indepth description if you check out the website
    http://www.axesrus.com/axeElectronicsCaps.htm
on the right hand side is a column "Need a little help" which explains all. Personally I tend to use 0.047 mylar caps when I am wiring a guitar as I find they seem to give a better sound than the tiny 0.047 ceramic disc caps.
    Regards,
    David
