What's your favorite 3-string tuning?

I am trying to learn how to play a three string guitar and I'd like to know what people prefer tuning them to. I usually have it tuned to open G or open E, but I heard about an A-D-F# tuning that sounded really good. It got me wondering 'what other ways are there to tune these things?'

How do you like to tune your 3-string? What does it sound like? Why do you prefer that tuning? Etc.

Anything you can tell me would be greatly appreciated.

I prefer open "A" or "C" I can sing a lot of songs in these keys and get higher tension on the strings which I also prefer on my cbg's.

I use A-D-F# all the time, learned it from Keni Lee Burgess' vid lessons on CD. If you were originally a 6-string player, you'll understand its versatility.
