This could be git related or not. So, what's on your workbench at the moment?

I have 4 scarf joint necks in different stages of work.

A 25" scale pine 5 string neck for a Banjo-Res, A 25" scale Red Oak neck for my 6 string Strat-Res build, A 24 & 1/2" scale Red Oak neck for my 6 string Double Cut Tele build and a 27" scale 6 string Baritone Conversion neck for a Modern Strat body I have.

That's a nice looking CBG Eric.

Cheers Paul, I'm garbage at playing but I really do get a kick out of making them and hearing others hammering out a tune.. The one on the bench at the moment is a bit special to me for the first time I'm getting to build a guitar for an artist of note an he'll be playing it at a blues festival.. A bit of a dream come true

I do more working and building on guitars than playing them it seems. You get a real feeling of accomplishment knowing that someone can make good music on something you made.

That's how I feel.. However this year I'm determined to do a build for myself.. I'm a lefty however all I seem to make is right handed ones for people.. Some of them I look at when finished and think I should keep it but it's no use to me.. I've got two more orders to fill and then it's my turn..

Channel your inner Hendrix and Rock it.

I finished up wiring my Strat pickguard.

It has 500k CTS pots and a .022uf cap. Volume and tone for the neck and bridge pickups, volume only for the middle. Did this by using 2 volumes and 1 tone. No Tone on the middle pickup brightens the middle pickup's tone and increases the quack for middle - neck or middle - bridge combos in parallel.

It has 3 mini toggle switches(1 for each pickup). The switches are on/off/on DPDT. I can choose either pickup alone, bridge-middle in parallel or series, neck-middle in parallel or series, neck-bridge in parallel, or all 3 in parallel or series. That's 10 choices. I don't know if I'll like all the choices, but I'm going to have fun with all of them at least once. ;)

Just got something very cool through the mail!

It's a small circuit called a PT2399 Karaoke plate reverb circuit.

I can't wait to built it into a small box. I've got a small single layer Romeo Y Julietta box that's waiting for a project. It maybe will turn into a perfect enclosure for this :-)

Last night I tried the circuit out using alligator clips just to see if it worked.

This is the best 4$ I've ever spent on a circuit. This thing is AWESOME!

While there is a bit of hum when I put the effect at max, it still sounds great.

And there is a mod you can do to control the reverb more precisely, but it involves removing a surface mount component and soldering a new potentiometer to 3 solder points on the board.

Here's a picture of the thing.

can you give me a link to these things.. I'd like to hear one in action and see where they can be bought.. I had a look at  youtube but found nothing that looks like what you have in the picture..

Here's the link to the place where I bought mine

https://www.ebay.ca/itm/PT2399-Microphone-Reverb-Plate-Reverberatio...

It sells for 3.57$ USD with free shipping. Definitely hard to beat.

Finished putting it in a small box from the Dollar store last night. Now I just gotta decorate it a bit. Now where did I put that wood burning iron? :-)

Post a pic when your done because we are interested in seeing it.
