I decided pretty quit the the BBG thing I bought... Sucks.... That being said, today I ordered everything I need to build a CBG from CB Gitty... I realize that the idea is to run what you bring, so to speak, but I want to make sure I have 1 that is playable without a slide! That being said... I hit up a couple of the local Cigar shops and scored some boxes... I picked up couple a 1x2 sticks of poplar and red oak... Picked up a 1/4 x 2 red oak And I have most of the other stuff... I'm gonna get to building...

  • And it appears that we have snared another one. Rev, there is still time to escape, but you are on the edge of entrapment! Soon, the slavish obsession to build, play, and improve will have you fully entangled. They got me in 2014, and I have been unable to step away for more than a few days. On the other hand, Mrs. Grandpa knows where to find me (in the garage), and it keeps me off the streets and (mostly) out of trouble. Soon, the counter man at the hardware store and the lumber yard will know you by name. Welcome.

  • commited and soon to be commitable!  Good luck with your build.

  • And a few other boxes I scored...

The Cuban Delights as Amp Box written all over it...

The plain one is from a Michaels Hobby store...

The dark one is pretty rough cut

    • Yup... Then you pickup some more supplies from CB Gitty...

Then you hit the other home improvement store... Just to see what they have on 1x2 lumber...

And walk out with sticks of Walnut, Birch, and Mahogany...

Might as well get them corner protectors too...

Yup, this isn't going to end well...

      • Which "other" h o store? All I can find at my 2 locals are the oak and mahogany. And poplar and pine but I'm not using either of those .  Poplar once was one too many!

        • Lowe's had Poplar and Red Oak

          Home Depot had the rest...
