saw the history Channels 3 part movie...It was great and lots of great background music to absorb, lots of southern music that can be played on cigar box guitar and riffs to learn, If you want to get a really vintage Appalachia tone or southern sound, I highly recommend watching the movie and listening closely to the back ground music over and over...DVR it!, YOU WILL LEARN DEEP SNARLY BLUES!...they had oddles of killer Dobro and slide riffs going off in the background almost the whole movie....makes me want to even try my hand at building a cigar box mandolin!

  • The Hatfields & The McCoys my friend.

Granpappy McCoy would be tuning up 'ol' Bess' were to see this typo...

I seem to recall a skirmish one day when the clan ran out of bullets.

It was Granpappy who fired one of cousin Marandy's biscuits into a pack of Hatfields.

Them varments lit out of there like there was gonna be no tomorrow...
