I hate strat style bridges. I have a bunch of these things laying around the house and I should use them but just can't see it. I was thinking of using them separately to sit on top of a dog bowl with the strings going through the bowl just to see how it would sound. I think it would be good but arggghhhh I hate them :)
I've used 'em on a few builds...but I dunno, just something about 'em hasn't clicked for me. I was just wondering what others thought about 'em. A lot of the CBG's I've seen built by other people don't use 'em.
Agreed they are great. But I like my strings closer together because I don't use a slide. I have both the three and four string bridges from CB Gitty. They work great. Just wish the three string bridge had the strings a bit closer together.
I've only used them once Cause, but I just buy the bridge blocks and screws.[about 8 bucks for 6] then make my own base out of aluminium,to bring the strings closer together
I've used similar bridges with great results. They make it easy when building and the ability to adjust them helps alot. Gitty is selling a similar 3 and 4 string bridge.

I'll let you know...
I usually use a scrap of hard wood ( usually maple).

I have used CBGitty's with great success... Most of my builds, though, use a banjo style bridge I make out of hardwood scraps...
