I bought a couple singles , but selection was limited. Right now the bass is strung with an 80 and 110. The 110 is too big, barely fits into the bass tuner, and the 80, when tuned to the same note, sounds very very close to the 110.
The plans call for "guitar low E and A". That seems lighter than I want, guitar low E is in the 50's arent they? I also need recommendations how to tune it, since I know zero about such things. I'd like to lean toward as bassy as practical.

Keep the 80 & change the 110 to 100, 110 is too big of a jump from the 80, You can also file or drill the hole bigger on tuners, if needed? Google is your friend, I recommend a little more research before you start a build, it’ll save you lots of time in the end? Get to know your instruments, from string gauges to scale lengths, etc. Knowledge is power! This guy explains tuning in an easy way? Hope it helps: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HbzhWr9uslw
