Cool. in the futrure , when replying to the original poster, it's best to use the original comment box up-top, . Using the reply button under anyone's post usually means that comment is personally to them, or the line of thread from their first personal reply.
I know , it can be confusing at times . i've done it myself a few times . hence the clarification check. ;-)
carry on. ;-)

I hear what you are saying pick but don't understand it really. Either way the post ends up at the end of the list of posts, doesn't it? That's what I've noticed with mine anyway. Like this one, unless someone gets in just before me.
It will end up on the end of the list of posts only if you you reply to the last post on the page . if you were to reply to someone else mid page . it would break in and post under theirs .
Also , personal reply's create a step margin (as in screen shot below) indicating to them (and everyone else) your post was directed at them , and depending if your content matches or not, if may seem like you are directly contradicting them , agreeing with them , attempting to correct them , or support them. or directing a question to them relating to their post. or to them personally.
If you're wanting to use the eye screw for the homemade look that's cool, but if you are looking for functionality you could use an actual string tree which is made to guide two strings.
Hi Brent, I would want to keep the strings apart so that they don't cross over each other and cause tuning problems. I would file two grooves in the post to keep them separated. No sharp edges.

Hey Brent another way to keep the strings separated could be to put one string through the eye and another under it.

Pretty sure tuning the heavier string would pull the other string outta whack. especially if the strings are angled off at that point .
Hi, I think string trees are better at putting a break angle behind the nut than redirecting strings, but I think they will do both.

Taff . if your reply was meant for me (as it is under my post replys.) My post was about the original posters use of an eyelet .
Hi Pick, no just some general info for Brent.
