For the past few weeks I've been youtube'n stomp boxes. I've seen them acoustic, with piezos and with speakers. I understand the basics with the piezo but not so much with the speaker.
I am entirely new to wiring in general. I have high hopes to rig up a CBG with a piezo and to build an amp someday. My question regarding the speaker stompbox is the wiring. Is it the same as if I was wiring it as an amp? If it is I don't understand how it would be the same. Since wiring as an amp the sound would go through it out. But for a stomp box it would microphone it in then out. Does this make sense or am I overthinking it entirely wrong? Like I said, I have no idea and have never done anything like this before.
Thanks

i believe what you are describing , and what may be causing the confusion is .. in some stomp boxes .. a speaker is used as a piezo .. ie: a mic . no sound comes out of it at that end .
you are using it exactly as a piezo . because it will work like one , and is bigger /deeper .
so your wiring is just like the piezo . just solder the 2 leads to a jack .
then plug it in to an amp with a cord just like you would a guitar / bass .

Thanks Pick,
That's what I thought but didn't think it was that easy.
