whats the stomp box pickup? the CD/AUX/MP3 input is probably what they call line level. plugging in the stomp box wont hurt it but it might not have much volume . you might need a preamp or booster between the stomp box and the input.

It's a standard humbucker with 9 volt power. The amp is a roland GX10. Thanks for your help!
just downloaded the manual for the amp. nice little amp those cubes...
Aux in is mixed with the guitar signal just before the power amp section of the circuit. so it does have to be line level . the manual also warns about resistance in the cable which i assume means a volume pot in the output? it does mention to adjust the volume from the device being plugged in.a simple preamp to boost to line level would work fine adjust output volume of the preamp by adjusting the gain of the preamp. just make sure that the max gain doesnt push past line level voltages... 1V peak to peak
