  • Hi, yep taking the gloss off the neck works, or what I used to in the band was to put talcum powder on my hands. Makes the action as smooth as a babies bum. Ha ha.
  • I find the string lubricant "Fast fret" works well in stopping the strings sticking
    Amazon sells it https://www.amazon.com/Fast-Fret-String-Neck-Lubricant/dp/B0002D0CQC
Don't use on nylon strings - it makes them squeak.

What finish does the neck have on it? I only ever had one regular guitar with a neck my hands wouldn't slide along - in the end I rubbed it with fine sand paper and it sorted the problem out.
