i have been cutting fret slots then gluing fret board to neck then stain and frets last. Is this way ok? I haven't had any problems but to know if its better one way or the other.
Thanks
Mike

That's how I make mine, stain before installing frets.. It works. I glue my fretboards to the neck, and trim/finish sand the fretboard, cut my fret slots, then stain after cutting the slots. Whatever works for you...it's all good.
