OK, so it doesn't have any strings. It does use a 7 string guitar humbucker for a pickup! Inspired by Shane's video from a few weeks back. I love washboards, have two non-electric ones. So went to eBay and found a cool inexpensive washboard. Longer washboard, no legs, front graphic faded but the back looked great... What the heck, project time!

Rough layout of control box. Had the pots from an old guitar upgrade, the 7 string humbucker was the cheapest wax potted humbucker I could scrounge off the evilBay.

Box drilled, and shielded with aluminum tape.

Backing board of the washboard dremel routed. Also soldered a ground to the washboard. Totally silent, noise-wise.

Wiring complete.

Small Padron box attached to the backing boards.

Complete and rebuilt with wood screws, Sturdy again!

I'll do a test video in the next couple days. Had some fun running distortion and echo with it making a huge wall of metal crashing feedback. Sounds great clean too, the humbucker is LOUD.
