Replacing an Artec amp trim pot with an external panel pot

I'd like to replace the internal trim pot on an Artec 2.5W amp circuit board with an adjustable pot mounted on the outside of my CB amp. Can it be done? What value of potentiometer would be appropriate? And, can anyone kind of diagram it out for me, i.e., which wires go where?


Thanks for any ideas! I'd like to do the same thing with my distortion board; I assume everything would apply to that as well?

    Thanks all. Used two 10k pots, and went smooth and easy, and works just fine. Appreciate the help.

    First off what does this pot control, is it gain? Distortion? Tone?

    My first guess is that you could do it.

    Is this Artec similar to any of the other small 9Vdc amps people are discussing?

    Do you have a Schematic for this AMP?

      Sorry, I don't have a schematic (and I wouldn't know what to do with it if I did! :-)


      There are two different pots: one on a distortion circuit, and one on the amp circuit. These are the products I am working with:
