Rare 3 string guitar

I found a rare 3 string guitar in my travels this past weekend. It's a 3 string guitar - very small scale. It's also made of a candy cigarette box instead of a cigar box. My only thoughts are that maybe it's an elf's guitar? Anyone else have any opinions on what this could be? Merry Christmas!

    Hmm... I'm not so sure about that.  Elves are known to smoke Marlboro candy cigarettes.  ;)

    Definetly an elf's guitar! I saw one dancing above my head as a child.He was doing a wild jig of some kind and I recall some  sugar plums being involved also!!!! Merry Christmas!!!
