can a person upload a video to his music page to get the song from it. will this program upload the song, or will it read an error cuz of the video? the video would come from ones file on his pc.

thanks for all the feedback guys. i learned a few things today, and hope others did too. i have other ways to upload, i was just wonderin if this could be done here.
This depends on the video format. I tried it with an MP4 and it did not work. What a complete mess. I use Linux and ffmpeg to extract the audio but I would not suggest that to everyone unless you know Linux.
So my impression of what he's asking is can he upload something like an .avi and get an .mp3 back. That is to say uploading a video to the music library would extract the audio only.
I dunna thin this wuhd work cap'n. I don't think this site is that sophisticated in its programming.

1. Import > Raw data
2. Open the video.
3. File > Export ... Select "MP3" from the drop-down box.
That should give you just the audio track you need to upload to here.
If all you're looking for is to post the music, it would be far easier to use a video editor to extract the audio track and save it as a separate file.
