I'm not sure how much of this is being covered in the media in other parts of the world, but most of Queensland is under water at the moment and apparently its about to get worse.
To give some perspective, I hear the affected area is roughly the size of Texas, or France and Germany combined (haven't done the maths myself but it sounds about right).
As it stands at the moment there are 13 dead, and 43 missing. In Brisbane around 19,700 homes and 3,500 businesses will be affected.
