Hi everyone i am building an Anzac biscuit for someone and i have fitted a fishman preamp a cbgitty humbucker pickup and a psycho knob along with volume and tone 500KOhm pots
I have changed out the stereo jack that comes with the preamp to a mono jack and I was wondering if anyone had any wiring diagrams or if there was any videos showing how to wire them all together.
I have changed out the stereo jack that comes with the preamp to a mono jack but I am stuck on how to wire it all together.
If anyone can help I will be eternally grateful and thankful. Thanks Mal

Hi, here is a photo of the "Y" cord, I just found it. The arrow shows the Heat Shrink over the wire connections.
Pitty you do not live closer, you could have it.

Oh taff you are a true gentleman, thankyou for the pic yes I can see what you were talking about, that's a real big help
cheers Mal
Hi, I could not find a Fishman pre-amp system in Gitty's store. Your guy may have purchased a Chinese knockoff. The model is Plessy. The difference in Australia is that the Fishman is $400 plus, and the Chinese version is around $40.00. Which one would you put in a cigar box guitar? And it's hard to tell them apart to look at.

Wow, that's almost double what they sell for here in the states Taff, the fishman presys plus sells for $219 direct from fishman, the 1st version presys preamp has been out of production for some years already, but is hot on the list for knock offs?
Yeah they retail here in nz for 449.00
Hi taff he said he purchased the fishman from cbgitty it was the last one as they have stopped stocking them. It definitely is a fishman presys onboard preamp - he may have to talk to them about whether they will send the other model they are now doing, the shane speal bundle - we'll have to wait and see
That's strange, Gitty has only ever carried two preamp's, the EQ-7545R for guitars & the UK-2000 for ukes, your customer may have bought them from eBay thinking that they'd be the same?
Oh ok I didn't know that brianQ - he may have included it with all the other items he bought from gitty and I assumed that's where he purchased it from - personally think he would be better to go with your suggestion and have the pickups wired to a 3 way switch and he can choose either the piezo, humbucker or both. I have yet to talk to him.
Hi, Yep as brian says, then I put heat shrink wrap over the three cables for a neat finish.

Thanks Taff - I think I have found my issue, the fishman preamp with rod piezo does not work at all. I'll have to get my client to contact cbgitty where he purchased it re the issue. I wired up the humbucker, a disc piezo I had in stock and the psycho knob, with volume and tone pots just out of curiosity, and it all works perfectly fine. I've been back and forth with this for days now and it took this long to find the problem - thankyou for sharing your valuable knowledge with me, I truly appreciate it cheers mal
