Hi everyone i am building an Anzac biscuit for someone and i have fitted a fishman preamp a cbgitty humbucker pickup and a psycho knob along with volume and tone 500KOhm pots
I have changed out the stereo jack that comes with the preamp to a mono jack and I was wondering if anyone had any wiring diagrams or if there was any videos showing how to wire them all together.
I have changed out the stereo jack that comes with the preamp to a mono jack but I am stuck on how to wire it all together.
If anyone can help I will be eternally grateful and thankful. Thanks Mal

Yes, a low z would be the only reason to use a preamp on a magnetic pup, but most will just plug into a DI box to get a high z output?
Thankyou BrianQ for that - i think I know what you are explaining. Would it work like Taff suggested and wire them separately and have two output jacks and use the jack that came with the preamp and a standard jack for the humbucker and psycho knob.
So essentially wire the preamp on its own with the rod piezo and keep the output jack so as to cut off battery power when not in use, and wire the humbucker to the psycho knob with its own volume and tone pots and wire it to a second standard output jack so there will be two output jack and you would have to use a Y connector lead if your amp has a single input jack or use to leads if your amp has twin input jacks- that would work wouldn't it?
Thankyou for that taff yes I'm the same. I was a cabinetmaker and these electronics are new to me I can generally figure it out but this one has me stumped. I may have to wire to separate circuits entirely, I don't really want to, but I may be forced to wire it up the way you did - thankyou for that i wasn't thinking of doing it that way.
With the y junction option and wiring them completely separate did it work really well?
The stereo jack is there to act as an on/off switch for the battery, so I would leave it as is? Also, the psycho knob is a preamp too, actually it's a preamp & boost, so I don't think you need both, especially with a humbucker? The fishman preamp is better suited with non magnetic pickups as they lack the output due to their high impedance?
Thankyou Taff i really appreciate the advise - I will search guitar electronic you suggested. If the white wire of the jack that was attached to the preamp already is to turn off the battery of the preamp, then where would I attach the white wire in relation to my wiring system. I was told to dump the jack the preamp it came with and got a mono jack as it wouldn't go at all so now that I have wired a standard jack where would I wire the white wire that is now spare? Thankyou again for your advise cheers Mal
Hi, search Guitar Electronics I find a good site listed there, many different combinations shown, was using it last night. I think you will find that if that premamp is active the stereo jack is for switching the battery off when guitar unplugged.
