I was wondering if anyone had built a slide guitar with nylon strings, how did it sound? I am currently in late stages of building one, so if no one has I guess we'll find out soon enough.

yup . nylon strings work well with a slide .
good to know, I've never seen it done and was starting to get worried the build was going to be a waste of time.
Obviously it won't work with a mag pickup , i used a rod piezo and it worked great . used a tin body also . but works on wood too.
Yep me too, I never considered it until my son tried it, I think on his second build, and it worked fine.
A comment I might make is that as nylon strings are softer than steel I would go for a hard tension set, a higher action and /or a light slide to save slide to fret contact. I think that's three comments......never mind.
