I've been building and selling CBG's for a few months now.
But I've been using the "A","D" and "G" strings and its fine. But I'm finding that I want a bit more "twang" in my sound.
So my question is, should I try using "D","G" "B"? or what should I try?
Any suggestions?

I have marked the side of my 3 stringer neck with Tipp-ex white correction fluid, at the frets where the dulcimer scale is.
That way I can play it like a strummer or a CBG.
Good luck with your stall.

Yep that works! Thanks Tam.
I built 3 3 stringers wed and thurs along with 4 1 stringers for the weekend tourist crowd.
I used the 1st ,2nd and 4th as you suggested and got exactly what I was looking for. all the "twang" a guy could want.
All 3 go on the block fri afternoon as soon as I can get my table and displays set up.

I use DAd that's 1st 2nd 4th from a set of guitar strings, that's 1st 012.
