No cigar boxes in Europe, help?!

Greetings CBN!

I know you must seen this question before, but what the hell, I'll ask again. Maybe will find some help here.

I'm an Israeli expat living in Prague, Czech Republic. I just found CBG few weeks back and yesterday completed my first 3-string fretless (out of tea box, but looks and sounds ok). I'm already thinking about the next build, but the thing is I can't find a cigar box. I tried everything, tobacco shops, ebay, Amazon, etc. No one have, or willing to ship it to me. I can't build my own boxes sine I have limited amount of tools and working space (I'm renting a flat in a city center).

Locals don't know about CBG, so its hard make tobacco sellers exited and find me an empty box. When I ask and trying to explain they look at me like I'm an alien, spitting a green goo (my Czech language skills are close to nothing, that also might be a reason for their reaction :)).

I was wondering if anyone can suggest where to look, or order from. Maybe you have few extra boxes and you will be able to send it to me (I'll cover the costs obviously). I tried couple of shops who ship internationally, but they charge a $30 shipment fee on a $3 box...I'm running out of options.

Help/suggestions will be appreciated!

Or You can do boxes.These are pine and plywood.

Yeah, still trying to find boxes. Meanwhile build my first diddley bow with what I had at home :)

Try a wine box maybe not as cool but good to work with;-)

Try a 2 bottle wine bottle box, or click on cigar box deals and tell him you'll accept the risk. I build my own boxes with few tools having the wood cut for me at the local hardware store in Italy, I just glue it together and sand the top/back edges a bit. let me know if you want specs and details.

15-20 boxes same time.Shipping is reasonble,about 80 usd..This is good seller and boxes are like new.

Here in Vienna I spotted the tobacco shops with Humidor rooms. I passed by to buy cigarretes or whatsoever unitl I finally asked the employees "by the way" if they got empty cbg. Being customer gets you in a different light ;-)

No need to explain what for, just tell them "a nice gift box" for your daughter, gf or whomever. Good luck!

Try the big international hotels. The Boscolo, Adria and Crowne Plaza in Prague all advertise cigar bars. Pop in, have a coffee and a chat with the bar tenders and they'll often be happy to help. I find it handy to have a few pics of CBGs on my phone to show them what I want the boxes for. Good luck !

Thanks guys :) Just found this one. Will work on it (planning to make a 4 string electric one) while waiting for cigar boxes. One of the members was kind enough to agree to send me a couple. I love this forum, people are so helpful. Cheers dudes!
