I ordered some piezo pickups and they are the size of a nickl . Not the bigger ones ive used. I dont want to waste them so was thinking of running 2 inline. Any one use the smaller ones before?

I'm with Hooch. Have used dozens that size [singly] with no problems and plenty of volume.
I use them all the time under the bridge inside, mostly through an equaliser/preamp. No problem so far.
