When asked about his Grammy-winning collaboration with Grohl, McCartney gave credit to an unlikely source: Johnny Depp.
"I blame Johnny Depp because he had just given me this little cigar box guitar that I was widely excited to play, so I took it along," he said. McCartney said while describing their recording session "It was magic for me to play with these guys. I found myself in the middle of a Nirvana reunion and I was very happy."
