This is what I was doing for the intro riff (3 string fretless tuned DAD):
Leave off the fifth fret chord every other repetition. Verse chords:
Riff variant after each verse:
Then there’s that whole other section I don’t know...kinda doing this from memory. Make sure to play it like your CBG wants to kill somebody’s mama to make up for the missing notes.
Ah, there’s nothing that can’t be done on three strings. I was just playing the Cinnamon Girl riff on my fretless 3...just gotta replace the missing notes with attitude and swagger. Not sure how I’d do the guitar solo though...leave it out if it was just me and a CBG, or if I had backing just grab the note way up high and shake it like a dog with a rabbit in its mouth.

Oh that's funny there, had me bust a gut laughing. I might just try and do the base part myself, do you have any tabs yourself for that part, even if for a fretless.

the verse chords are easy chords the riff I stated wrong starts on the treble string. Should be easy to work on 3 string in dad tuning
Cinnamon Girl played in drop D first parts on the bass string second part treble then back to bass so tuned DAe you have a chance to play it like a 6. Most the lead could be played on 4 dgbe but some low note in the middle. of the top of my head good luck. tons of tabs for Neil's song out there

yeah, like I said, probably need at least 4 for cinnamon girl, might try and figure it out on 3 over the holiday, but not too hopeful on a 3 string.
I would love to be able to play Cinnamon Girl on a 3 string, but looking at other video's of it, seems you might need at least 4 strings, not sure if it could be done well enough with only 3
