Greetings. I'm new to building CBG's. A friend turned me on to them about a month ago. Since then I have been working on the neck. I got a nice piece of 1 x 2 poplar that was actually 1 x 2. It allowed for a nice headstock. This morning I put the second coat of poly on it and plan on perhaps one more.
It turned out that the MEM day weekend was a slow start, but it DID get going.
I wound up selling 4 DB's Sunday afternoon, and Monday,Sold a DB and a "high end" piece ( for me) that sold for $100.
For all that work I'm now at home on a forced rest due to fighting the flu, or whatever it is thats got me laid up.
I usually build several necks at the same time to make better use of my time.
For this weekend ( MEM DAY) during the week I built 11 necks for 1 stringers, and finished a 3 stringer for sale at the MALL where I work.
So far this weekend is a bust as the tourists seem to be in a hurry to go no where and seem in a down mood and their not buying ANYTHING much from any of the shops.
