Well here it is! My first CBG made with an old letter stencil box I inherited from my grandfather. 25.5" scale. Rosewood fretboard from lumber I had around, curly maple neck, birdseye head, old mtn bike gears for sound hole covers (Shimano XT circa 1993), handmade leather strap, piezo disk pickup. I build custom furniture for a living, so this is great fun to use my scrap to make instruments!! www.wildcherrywoodworks.com is my site.

I like the stencil box as the body. I bet it has a nice sound. The head stock is very interesting, too. I think there is something cool about using scraps to build a CBG. It just seems so appropriate to me!
Thank you. It does sound pretty nice both acoustic and plugged in. I need to do a recording of someone who can really play it. I am not that person, but working on it. Lol! Building another amp now and working on my next CBG soon. Had my friend over from Truth Instruments (not the foreign crap company but the Maine based Christian guy) and we worked on a few CBG's to display and sell at the Fryeburg Fair Oct 4-11, in Fryeburg, ME. Should be fun to have some instruments in my booth along with the normal furniture and other wood products.
Super cool!!!... Unique!!!
Really neat all around!
