My 1st CBG!

It's amazing to me to think that 3 weeks ago, I had never even heard of cigar box guitars. After lots of Google-ing and watching Youtube videos (thank you, members), I have made my first instrument and I love it. I'm not much of wood-worker, so it is a very basic build, but it plays nice and I built it very cheaply. It has a piezo pickup and a poplar neck, and a very cool black and gold box I picked up on Ebay. Check it out!!!

      That's...your FIRST build?  It looks better  than my first six!  I didn't even tackle frets until number 5...lovely work!

      And welcome to the Nation-we're pretty much all addicts here....

    Nice, odds are that it won't be your last build :-) I built my first one in July . I just completed number 7 with number 8 & 9 in production already . I just finished one using that same box . It has a really nice tone.
