  • What I’m wondering is, what happens when you’re cutting something harder than balsa wood, will it still cut?

    • well at 6:35 into the video he cuts what looks like 10 or 12mm plywood somaybe not so bad? i would take the concept and build it out of stronger material.. metal frame , find some bushings for the moving parts and a better gear system...but the concept is sound by his results..

      • I have a motor with a reduction gearbox that I used for my tugboat. It either going on a mini table saw for frets or one of these mounted horizontally vertically for the San purpose.

      • Its basically a motorized coping saw, I'm not positive about it, but as long as you don't push too hard and with the right blade, it should cut aluminum. Wish I had the little bugger when I was building scale tug boat models.
