I am building a 6 string CBG with a gold foil humbucker near the neck and one or two piezo pickups, running through a preamp/buffer circuit.

I want to use a push-pull on the volume pot to switch to coil tap or parallel on the humbucker before blending that output with the piezo (using MN blend pot) an and then to the volume and tone.

Can someone point me in the right direction?

Cheers,

Mark

  • I bought 500k pots and a .022uF cap. Will put two piezos under the bridge (in hot glue?) wired in parallel to the buffer circuit. Should that work?

  • Fixed the error with the tone wiper and cap. Any other errors?

  • Updated with better grounding. Does it look correct?  Especially review the series/parallel switching of the humbucker?

    Thanks,

    • Hi, I cant tell by just looking at a diagram, I'd have to wire it up and see. Just one observation tho. With a humbucker 500k pots would normally be used, unless you wanted the different tone the 250k pots create. Taff

  • I just created this in Visio.  Can you guys please review?

    Thank, Mark

  • Hi Mark, try search Guitar Electronics.com. They have diagrams and parts as well. I've wired similar to what you mention, but can't find the info.

    cheers Taff
