Can I protect the paper and stickers on the box with a clear coat of some kind?

I am still planning my guitar out but i am wondering if i can protect the cool looking paper and stickers with a clear coat of some kind? I was thinking sometihng along the lines of acrylic but will that stick to the paper and plastic like stickers b
